Kotpad,6th Aug 2025:– As part of the ongoing “Swachhata Apana Bimari Bhagao” (Maintain Cleanliness, Drive Away Diseases) campaign running from early July to July 31, a cleanliness awareness rally was organized today in the Kotpad Notified Area Council (NAC). The event aimed to sensitize residents about the importance of hygiene, environmental cleanliness, and disease prevention.
All employees of the Kotpad NAC, along with local leaders and community members, actively participated in the rally. Participants raised awareness on issues like plastic ban, waste disposal, and maintaining a clean and green environment.
Prominent attendees included:

- M. Shankar Rao (Chairperson)
- M. Santoshi (Vice Chairperson)
- All Ward Members
- Sanitation workers, SHG members, and other municipal staff.
The rally was followed by a community meeting, where officials appealed to the public to contribute to making Kotpad cleaner and healthier. Executive Officer Kamalesh Mohanty also announced a special feast at Kalyan Mandap on July 31, marking the conclusion of the campaign.
