Umerkote: On the occasion of Madhubabu’s birth anniversary, Swabhiman Divas was grandly celebrated at the Chikalpadar Gram Panchayat office in Umerkote block, organized jointly by Ama Odisha and Fakir Mohan Pathashala.
The event featured former Odisha Sahitya Akademi member Ballav Raut as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Surendra Nath Das, retired Chief District Medical Officer, served as the Chief Speaker. Among the distinguished guests were Usha Nayak, Sarpanch of Chikalpadar, senior advocate Srinibas Pattnayak, ABEO Debendra Bagh, Sona Majhi, Abhaya Charan Nayak, and Mahananda Mahalik.
The program was presided over by Prafulla Kumar Raut, editor of Fakir Mohan Pathashala. Head teacher Naresh Chandra Pattnayak conducted the stage proceedings, and Purna Chandra opened the event with a devotional song.
All guests shed light on the life and contributions of Madhubabu. Speakers strongly advocated for conferring the Bharat Ratna on Madhubabu in recognition of his immense contributions.
Prominent individuals including Sagar Parida, Nagendra Kumar Raut, Anjan Das, Shantilata Mahanti, Sheikh Nasir Uddhan, Prakash Chandra Behera, and Ram Chandra Ram were present and fully supported the program through active participation.
