Bhubaneswar, 5th Nov 2025: The annual submission of life certificates at treasuries began on Saturday. Following instructions from the Treasury Directorate, the process has started at treasuries in 30 districts, 9 independent treasuries, and 128 sub-treasuries across the state. In Khordha district, pensioners can submit their life certificates both online and offline at the district treasury and Independent Treasury-1.

1,215 Certificates Submitted in Khordha District

Due to server issues, the offline mode has been prioritized for submissions. Support centers have been opened at the treasury to assist pensioners. On the first day, because of problems with the “Jeevan Praman Odisha App”, certificates were submitted offline. Pensioners who transferred their pensions from the treasury to banks before 2018 submitted their certificates directly at the bank.

At the treasury, separate counters have been opened for each pensioner. At Independent Treasury-1, 10 counters were opened, while 6 counters were operational at the district treasury. On the ground floor of the district treasury, 5 support centers have been set up, with offline counters on the first floor. Facilities such as chairs, water, and fans have been arranged for pensioners. Wheelchairs have also been provided for those who cannot walk.

At Independent Treasury-1, approximately 13,000 pensioners are registered, and on the first day, about 800 pensioners submitted their life certificates. For bedridden or immobile pensioners whose signatures are missing, arrangements have been made to collect certificates at their homes through biometric tip marks, scheduled for the third and fourth weeks of the month.

At District Treasury-1, about 12,000 pensioners are registered, and on the first day, 415 pensioners submitted their certificates, out of which 296 offline and 149 online submissions were recorded, according to treasury officials.

In total, 1,215 life certificates have been submitted in Khordha district so far.
