Kolnara, 16th Sept 2025: Patients are facing difficulties at the Kolnara Community Health Center (CHC) due to the lack of a doctor during the morning hours. Currently, only one doctor is attending to patients in the Outpatient Department (OPD) during both day and night shifts. Given the large number of patients, locals have demanded the appointment of an additional doctor, especially during the morning hours, so that patients don’t have to wait in long queues for hours.
Every morning, a large number of patients from Kolnara and surrounding areas visit the health center with various health issues, leading to heavy crowding. With just one doctor available to provide care, patients are seen forming long queues and often wait several hours for consultation.
It has been observed that the doctor on duty, who joins at 8:00 AM and works until the next morning, is responsible for attending patients in the OPD, conducting health checkups, and monitoring the Inpatient Department (IPD) as well. During the peak hours between 9:00 AM and 12:00 noon, patients pour in from nearby areas including JK Pur, Therubali, and various parts of the block. This overwhelming number of patients makes it difficult for a single doctor to manage both OPD and IPD responsibilities efficiently.
As a result, public opinion strongly favors the immediate appointment of at least one more doctor during this time. This would significantly reduce wait times and allow patients to receive timely medical checkups and medication without unnecessary delays.
