Bhubaneswar, Jan, 16: Due to rising pollution levels, strict restrictions have been imposed in the Tricity area.
Construction activities will remain suspended from 6 PM to 10 AM.
Burning of garbage in the open or burning coal in roadside eateries (dhabas) has been completely prohibited.
Movement of heavy vehicles at night has also been restricted.
Water sprinkling will be carried out three times a day on National Highways to reduce dust pollution.
No demolition or debris-generating activities will be allowed within municipal areas.
Movement of trucks inside the city has been banned.
Police and RTO have been instructed to strictly enforce these restrictions.
The Forest and Environment Minister has warned that strict action will be taken against anyone violating these rules
