Sora, Dec, 05: ‘Gãã Majlis Sahitya Sansad,’ one of the leading literary organisations of Balasore, and the literary magazine Shankhabela have announced the names of the talents selected for this year’s literary honours and felicitations.
Renowned storyteller Sadananda Tripathy has been selected for this year’s prestigious ‘Gãã Majlis Literary Honour’. Similarly, storyteller Gangadhar Biswal will receive the ‘Shankhabela Story Award’, and poet Khageswar Mahatab will receive the ‘Shankhabela Poetry Award.’
In addition, the following awards will be conferred:
Ramakantha Jena, editor of Gokarnika, will receive the Organisation & Editing Award.
Playwright Bhabagrahi Das will get the ‘Manmohan Mahapatra Theatre Award.’
Story writer Uday Narayan Das will receive the ‘Madanmohan Dalei Novel Award.’
Poet Trilochana Das will receive the ‘Pradyumna Mahani Poetry Award.’
Young poet Priyanka Priyadarshini Das will receive the ‘Swarnalata–Biswanath Writer Award.’
Bidyutlata Das will receive the ‘Jayakrishna Biswal Literary Service Award.’
Poet Debasish Chakraborty will get the ‘Bhubanananda Dalei Education–Literature Award.’
Krupa Sindhu Panigrahi will receive the ‘Chintamani Mallik Literary–Teacher Award.’
Poet Rajit Das will receive the ‘Ganesh Mahapatra Literary Award.’
Actress Annapurna Lenka will get the ‘Bhagabata–Kamalakanta Ojha Dance Art Award.’
Rajani Barik will receive the ‘Kokila–Shukamani Ideal Mother Award.’
Lipsita Sahu will receive the ‘Lopamudra Medha Excellence Award.’
All awardees were selected during a meeting of the Sansad held under the chairmanship of Dr. Ramakanta Behera, President of the organisation.
According to Chandramohan Mahapatra, Joint Editor of the Sansad, the awards will be presented during the annual celebration scheduled for December 21.
