Kotpad, Jan 28: The statue of former Kotpad MLA, late Sadan Nayak, was unveiled at his ancestral village Chitruguda under Kotpad block.
Born in 1947, Sadan Nayak was elected as an MLA in 1990 on a Janata Dal ticket and served until 1995. During his tenure, he gave priority to the development of communication and education sectors and initiated several projects. As a result, the distance between Kotpad and Kudura and Baipariguda blocks has effectively reduced today. Speakers at the unveiling ceremony stated that he made remarkable contributions to the Kotpad Assembly constituency.
Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra attended the event as the chief guest. Among others present were MP’s representative Rameshwar Jena, close associate of the late MLA Pankaj Kumar Patra, former MLA Chandrashekhar Majhi, Devendra Vaidya, Ajay Mishra of Bharat Media, Pimpas Kumar, Muna Dora, Sudhir Mahanti, the late Sadan Nayak’s wife Tilottama Nayak and other family members, along with villagers.
