Dabugan,Dec, 16:  A state-level cricket competition for girls under 17 has been ongoing in Jagatsinghpur district since [date missing]. From the participating Nabarangpur team, six students from the Government Girls’ High School, Dabugan (A) have been selected.

The selected students are Anjana Pujari, Gangabali Mehera, Yashoda Majhi, Gayatri Bhatra, Bandita Bhatra, and Urmila Bhatra. The district-level player selection program was held on the 3rd of this month at Lalbahadur High School, Papadahandi. Students from all blocks of the district participated. Girls and boys under 17 years of age were selected.

For the first time, in this ball cricket competition, the girls of Dabugan SSD Girls’ High School have secured a place in the Nabarangpur district team for the state-level tournament.

State-Level Cricket Competition:

Seven students participated, out of which six have been nominated for the state-level competition. The newly appointed sports teacher of the school, Manoj Kumar Bagh, trained the students.

Additionally, for the state-level football competition, one student from Dabugan, Sunamani Santa, has gone to Kalahandi district to represent the school. The school’s headmistress Sanjukta Das, along with all other teachers and staff, extended their congratulations and best wishes to the students for their success.
