Bhubaneswar: The state government has made a major announcement for pregnant women in Odisha. If a male child is born, the family will receive Rs10,000, whereas for the birth of a female child, an additional Rs2,000 will be provided, totaling Rs12,000.
This financial assistance will be available for up to two children and will be implemented under the combined provisions of the Mamata Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, as announced by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
Under this integrated scheme, Rs12,000 will be given for the birth of a girl child. However, for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), the two-child limit will not apply
