Bhubaneswar, Feb, 23: The State Government has made arrangements to procure arhar (pigeon pea) from farmers through Odisha State Cooperative Marketing Federation (MARKFED). Procurement centers (mandis) have been opened at various locations to purchase arhar of suitable quality at the Minimum Support Price of ₹8,000 per quintal.
The mandis will remain open from 14 February 2026 to 14 May 2026.
For this, farmer brothers and sisters are requested to contact their nearest agriculture officials and submit their land documents, photo identity proof, and a copy of their bank account details. They can get themselves registered at the nearest Service Cooperative Society or Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) in their village.
Farmers can also avail this facility through self-registration using the e-Samruddhi mobile app.
