Bhubaneswar, 12th Sept 2025: In an effort to ensure effective monitoring and successful implementation of various ongoing educational programs, the Odisha government has initiated the process of providing vehicles to Block Education Officers (BEOs).
To take this plan forward, Additional Secretary of the School and Mass Education Department, Diptiranjani Sahu, has written to the Director of Primary Education and the State Project Director of OSEPA, asking them to submit a comprehensive report on the number of vehicles required.
The government is aiming to strengthen grassroots-level education, encourage students to attend school regularly, and ensure quality education across the state. For this, it considers mobility for BEOs to be crucial, enabling them to supervise educational schemes effectively and reach remote schools.
In the letter sent on Tuesday, Diptiranjani Sahu emphasized that under the directions of the state government, providing vehicles to all BEOs has become a priority. She further highlighted that with this provision, BEOs can function more efficiently, and government schemes can be better monitored and successfully implemented.
The letter clearly instructs that a detailed report on the number of vehicles needed must be submitted immediately so that the department can move forward with procurement and allocation.
