Stakeholders Submit 5-Point Charter of Demands to Chief Minister

Kotpad, 22nd Sept 2025:  On behalf of the Communist Party of India (CPI), Kotpad Block in Koraput District, a memorandum consisting of a 5-point charter of demands was submitted to the Chief Minister. On Friday, more than a hundred male and female party workers from Batasana Panchayat gathered at Kenduguda Square, held a rally, and marched along the National Highway. Following the rally, they submitted the memorandum to the local Tahsildar Mr. Twitel Sethi and BDO Mr. Sandhya Somarath.

The demands included:

Construction of all roads in the panchayat,

Allocation of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to genuine beneficiaries,

Provision of ₹5,000 monthly allowance to the elderly, widows, and differently-abled beneficiaries,

Access to drinking water, healthcare, and education,

Declaration of Kashamaguda as a revenue village,

Action against those involved in crimes against women,

Timely supply of fertilizers to farmers and strict action against those selling them at inflated prices.

During the event, more than a hundred men and women party workers were present under the leadership of district general secretary Yudhishthir Raul, Kurma Nath Bhatra, Ramkrishna Das, Bhishma Nayak, Pananda Harijan, Tripati Bhatra, and Gobardhan Harijan.
