Sri Ram Navami Celebrated with Grandeur in Kudumulugumma, Devotees Participate in Colorful Processions and Religious Rituals

Malkangiri,:Mar, 30:Sri Ram Navami was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Ram Temple premises in Kudumulugumma of Malkangiri district.

On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Sri Ram, observed on the ninth day (Navami) of the bright fortnight of the Chaitra month, rituals began early in the morning. Under the priesthood of Gopinath Das and Vinayak Mishra, the ceremonies included chanting of mantras, Abhishek (holy bathing of the deity), and the commencement of the Homa Yajna. Ramesh Chandra Raut and his wife participated as the chief hosts of the rituals.
Hundreds of devotees from Kudumulugumma and nearby areas gathered to offer prayers, have darshan of the idol of Lord Sri Ram, and present पुष्पांजलि (floral offerings). After the rituals, devotees partook in the “Ananda Bazaar” community feast.

In the evening around 5 PM, a bike rally was organized by the village youth. Devotees, holding flags and chanting “Jai Shri Ram,” went around the village in a procession. Local residents also extended their full support and cooperation.
