Dhusuri, Dec, 26: The primary objective of education is the overall human and personality development, and sports act as a connecting bridge to achieve this goal. Sports play a vital role in physical development, expressed the guests while addressing the annual sports inauguration ceremony of Akhandalamani Higher Secondary School, Palsahi.
The annual sports meet was organized under the chairmanship of Principal Nihar Ranjan Kar and coordinated by Lecturer Nikunja Kishore Jena. The event was inaugurated by Bhadrak District Deputy Collector Karvik Nath Mandal.
The Chief District Medical Officer, Dr. Sudhigaranjan Nayak, attended as the Chief Guest, while educationist Gayadhar Panda was the keynote speaker. The President of Baba Mani College, Santosh Kumar Sahu; former Principal Madhab Chandra Jena; poet and organizer Narayan Chandra Padhi; and former Sarpanch Sushant Kumar Nayak joined as guests of honour.
Lecturer Ipsita Behera invited the guests to the stage, Lecturer Lakshmidhar Das introduced the guests, Physical Education Teacher Anil Kumar Raut delivered the welcome address, Lecturer Suryakanta Das proposed the vote of thanks, and Manmohan Tripathy recited Vedic hymns.
The sports festival was successfully managed with the support of faculty members including Lecturer Gayatri Mahanti, Lecturer Somanath Malik, Lecturer Priyadeep Parida, Lecturer Lokanath Singh, Lecturer Payaswati Raut, Lecturer Kalpana Manjari Jena, Lecturer Ashalata Bishul, and Lecturer Aliva Priyadarshini Khular, among others.
