Special OTET Results Released: 48,153 Teachers Qualify

Cuttack,17th Nov 2025:  The results of the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special OTET), conducted on September 27 for in-service teachers, were released today. A total of 75,403 candidates had applied for OTET Paper-1 and Paper-2 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, and 72,413 candidates appeared for the exam. Out of these, 48,153 teachers have passed, with a pass percentage of 66.5%.

Among the 29,004 candidates who had applied for Paper-1, 27,533 appeared for the exam, and 12,998 candidates passed. A total of 1,471 candidates were absent.

For Paper-2, 46,339 candidates had applied, out of which 44,880 appeared for the exam. Of them, 35,165 candidates passed, while 9,717 candidates failed. A total of 1,459 candidates were absent.

The exam results can be accessed from the Board’s website.

From today until January 15, candidates can download their digital pass certificates from the website.

In this 150-mark examination, the qualifying marks were fixed at 90 for general category candidates, and 75 for SC, ST, and persons with disabilities.

Candidates who did not qualify may apply for the upcoming examination scheduled on December 17, with applications open until November 25, Board President Srikant Tarai informed.
