Six Women Took Charge of PM Modi’s Social Media on International Women’s Day

New Delhi On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over his social media accounts to six women, reaffirming his commitment to women empowerment. The women who took charge of his accounts were Vaishali Rameshbabu from Chennai, Dr. Anjali Agrawal from Delhi, Anita Devi from Nalanda, Elina Mishra from Bhubaneswar, Arjeta Shah from Rajasthan, and Shilpi Soni from Sagar.

Vaishali Rameshbabu

A chess player, Vaishali Rameshbabu has been playing chess since the age of six and achieved the Grandmaster title in 2023. With her talent and determination, she has made the country proud at the global level.

Anita Devi – ‘The Mushroom Lady of Bihar’

Known as the “Mushroom Lady of Bihar”, Anita Devi founded the Madhopur Krishi Utpadak Company in 2016. She has not only succeeded through mushroom farming but has also created employment opportunities for hundreds of rural women, paving the way for women’s economic independence and empowerment.

Dr. Anjali Agrawal

A symbol of the accessibility movement, Dr. Anjali Agrawal is the founder of Samarthyam – Centre for Universal Accessibility. For over three decades, she has been dedicated to improving accessibility for people with disabilities by promoting inclusive mobility in schools and public spaces.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the contributions of these women and congratulated them for being leaders in India’s development journey.
