Nabarangpur/Feb, 9: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi virtually inaugurated 57 new Sub-Registrar Offices across the state. Among them, a new Sub-Registrar Office was also inaugurated in Nandahandi block of Nabarangpur district.
Along with this, citizen-centric services of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department were launched through the ‘Ama Sathi’ unified WhatsApp bot platform.
In this context, inauguration programmes were held at the Tahasil offices of Nandahandi, Chandahandi, Papadahandi, Jharigaon, Raighar, and Tentulikhunti in Nabarangpur district.
On this occasion, Nabarangpur MLA Gaurish Majhi attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest at the Nandahandi Block Tahasil office. Among others present were Block Chairperson Rashmita Majhi, Tahasildar Rishankar Chandradas Mahanandia, Zilla Parishad member Mishra, Dibyadan Suna, BJP former district president Jagadish Bisoyi, Additional Tahasildar Biswajit Karkara, block sarpanches, and committee members.
This step is considered a significant decision in the history of the Revenue Department. Earlier, people had to travel long distances and incur expenses for registration work. With the new offices, registration services will become more accessible and middlemen practices will be eliminated. Eleven services will now be made available closer to the people.
The office of the Sub-Registrar-cum-Special Marriage Officer, Nandahandi (Dangarsheja), District Nabarangpur (Estb. 15-6-2026), has also been opened. Citizens can avail services through WhatsApp at 94437292000.
In the presence of MLA Majhi, the Sub-Registrar-cum-Special Marriage Officer Office at Nandahandi was formally inaugurated. Additionally, land pattas were distributed to 39 beneficiaries of the block.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Majhi emphasized that the government’s people-centric schemes would reach citizens with zero tolerance for irregularities and ensure maximum benefit to the public.
