Six BSE Officers Transferred Amid Uproar Over Cancelled Exam

Bhubaneswar, 28th July 2025: Departmental action has been taken in connection with the cancellation of the independent OTET examination. Six officers, including the Additional Secretary of the Board office, have been transferred. These officers have been shifted to other departments within the Board office. The independent OTET (Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test) scheduled for July 20 was cancelled. The exam was being conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha. However, a few hours before the exam, the question paper was leaked and went viral on social media. The Board issued a notice late at night announcing the postponement of the exam. Around 75,000 candidates were left disappointed due to the sudden cancellation. It is suspected that the leak originated from the location where the question papers were printed.
