Nabarangpur, Dec, 30:  In a state-level cultural program organized by the Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes Welfare Department, two students from Nabarangpur district achieved distinction. Shubhyajyoti Harijan, a student of the Government SSD Girls’ High School from Katraguda village in Nabarangpur district, won second place in the senior category of oratory, while Bhagya Jyoti Harijan, a student of Anwesha School, secured third place in the junior category solo dance competition.

The awards were presented by Nityananda Gand, Minister of School and Mass Education and Scheduled Castes & Tribes Department, and Commissioner B. Parameswaran, who were the chief guests of the program.

It is noted that from 18th to 20th December, state-level cultural competitions were held at the Adivasi Padia in Bhubaneswar. The students from the district, who had previously secured first place in music, group dance, science fair, and oratory competitions, participated in these state-level competitions. A total of 39 participants, including district guide teachers, took part in the Bhubaneswar event.

After this achievement of the students, Rajiv Kumar Sahu (PI ITDE), Palaka Rabindra (District Welfare Officer), Bharat Chandra Sahu (Additional District Welfare Officer), Nivedita Biswal, and sports trainer Kalikingkar Pattnayak extended their best wishes to the students.
