Borigumma, Jan, 23: Shatarupa Mahapatra, a Class IX student of Borigumma Government High School, secured first place in the district-level model competition held at Koraput.
Following this achievement, Shatarupa has been receiving widespread congratulations from various quarters. Earlier, in the divisional-level competition organized by the Water Resources Department on the 6th, she had secured first position in both the general knowledge and model competition categories.
Later, on the 13th, Shatarupa participated in the district-level competition held at the Koraput–Narayanpatna Skill Development Centre, where she once again secured first position, bringing glory to her school and the region.
She received a certificate and a cash prize of Rs 1,000 from Koraput MLA Raghuram Machh. Teachers Gourishankar Samantaray and her classmates extended their support in preparing the model. Teacher Rajeshwari Nayak accompanied Shatarupa to Koraput for the competition.
