Kotpad,6th Oct 2025: The Seva Saptah (Service Week), organized as per the call of the Prime Minister, was concluded on Thursday by Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra. The week-long program ended with a cleanliness drive at the Dashahara Padia (festival ground).
The MLA joined hands with the NAC sanitation workers to clean the Dashahara Padia. Many party workers were also present during the program, which was organized following the Prime Minister’s call for public service.
After the cleaning event, the MLA honored all the sanitation workers by presenting them with gifts as a token of appreciation.
Previously, due to the lack of lighting at Dashahara Padia, the area had become a hangout spot for anti-social elements. To address this issue, the MLA had a high-mast light installed there. On this occasion, the light was formally inaugurated.
MLA Shri Bhatra’s initiative has been widely appreciated by the public. Speaking at the event, he said that celebrating Seva Saptah inspires everyone to follow cleanliness, which is the essence of the Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat (Clean India) mission. He further added that the country being governed today by a people’s leader is a matter of pride and honor for every Indian.
