Kotpad, 23rd Aug 2025: The annual meeting of the Kotpad Senior Citizens’ Association was held at the local Dola Mandap under the chairmanship of Vice President Godabarish Acharya. More than 50 members participated in the meeting. After the association’s flag hoisting, the annual income–expenditure report was presented and the action plan for the year was finalized. To promote environmental protection, medicinal saplings were planted in the premises of Amadamunda Dhableswar temple.
Decisions were taken to create public awareness for keeping Kotpad town clean and beautiful, to relocate roadside vendors who are causing congestion near Gandhi Chhak, and to demand the construction of a meat market. The association resolved that if these demands are not met, it will launch an agitation and inform the NAC authorities accordingly.
Secretary Gauri Patnaik presented the annual report, while the treasurer extended a vote of thanks. Manoj Mahanti, Bishnu Bisoi, and Rajanikant Shatrusally were nominated as committee members. From the previous committee, President Ashok Patnaik, Vice President Godabarish Acharya, and Treasurer Abhimanyu Mallik were re-nominated to continue their roles.
