Nabarangpur, Feb, 7:: A district-level seminar was held at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Nabarangpur.
At the seminar, Dr. Latika Mishra, Regional Director of the IGNOU Centre, Koraput, attended as the chief speaker, while Nabarangpur District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu joined as the chief guest. Both emphasized the importance of giving priority not only to academic excellence but also to the emotional and moral development of students.
Dr. Manoranjan Pradhan of Vikram Dev University attended as a guest of honour and expressed that students must sincerely and responsibly fulfill their duties. Other distinguished guests included Sangita Tripathy, Head of the Department of History, Nabarangpur College; Prof. Sushant Kumar Maharana of DAV College, Koraput; Satyanarayan Nayak of Bidyarthi College; Dr. Samyukta Panda of Nabarangpur Women’s College; Dr. Bholanath Durga of Bidyarthi Degree College; noted educationist and President’s Award-winning teacher Dr. Pradeep Kumar Mishra; Additional District Education Officers Prakash Mahalik and Mrs. Supriya Nayak.
Principal of Umerkote ITI, Nilachal Meher; ADEO Srikant Jani; and Block Education Officer of Tentulikhunti, Sudipta Das, were also present.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Omkar Pattanayak. Senior teacher educators Binki Eka, Pallabi Singh, and Karisma conducted and coordinated the event.
After the speeches of the invited guests, around 20 research papers were presented during the seminar. The best paper from the seminar will be presented at the upcoming national-level programme scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar on the 24th and 25th.
