Nabarangpur, Dec, 23: Various programs were organized at the “Self-Reliant India” campaign fair at Nabarangpur Women’s Degree College. The event began with a speech competition on the topic of “Swadeshi vs Foreign” followed by the recital of a pledge on Swadeshi resolutions.
Alongside this, awareness programs were conducted on the Women’s Protection Law and the POCSO Act. Legal expert Kishori Patnaik and child counselor Smaranika Patnaik participated and educated the students about women’s protection laws. On the 19th, various competitions were held among the students.
During the event, students demonstrated the preparation of different nutritious foods using turmeric fish, medicinal herbs from Sukhuar, and ingredients from Mandia, sourced from the undivided Koraput district.
The entire program was organized under the guidance of senior English professor Binod Bihari Pradhan. Teachers such as Tayra Begum, Ranjusa Kumari Praharaj, M. Rohini Rani, Sunita Patra, and Laxmikant Soura assisted in conducting the event.
