Bhubaneswar, 9th Oct 2025: The state government has taken a major decision to control the increasing traffic congestion in the Twin City area. A second bridge will be constructed at Trishulia with an estimated cost of ₹297 crore. This was stated in a written reply by Deputy Chief Minister Prithviraj Harichandan in the Legislative Assembly. The tender process for the project is ongoing, and the construction work is expected to be completed within 36 months. In response to a question by MLA Sophia Firdous, Deputy Chief Minister Prithviraj Harichandan provided this update. Due to increasing traffic problems day by day in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, there had been demands for another bridge. The new bridge at Trishulia will help solve the traffic issues in the Twin City area.
