Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has decided to shift the government holiday for Savitri Amavasya from May 27 to May 26. The proposal regarding this change has been approved. It is noteworthy that earlier the government holiday for Savitri Amavasya this year was fixed for May 27. However, after consultations with the Puri Mukti Mandap, other religious institutions, and almanac experts, it was confirmed that Savitri Amavasya will be observed on May 26. Therefore, the holiday date has been changed accordingly.
