Konark:Nov 22 : The district-level “Sargi Phul” program was grandly organized on Wednesday at the premises of Konark Government High School, conducted by the Scheduled Tribes & Scheduled Castes Development and Backward Classes Welfare Department. The event aims at the overall development and encouragement of students from scheduled tribes and scheduled castes of eight schools in the district.
Every year, this children’s festival is conducted to foster literary and cultural competitions among these students. On this occasion, competitions in cultural performances, dances, songs, and other activities were held among the students who had gathered from all schools.
At the concluding ceremony, the award distribution program was held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Ms. Mamata Rani. The chief guest of the event was Konark NAC Chairperson Sanjukta Tripathy. Other prominent attendees included Champahar Fire Brigade Officer Bichitra Kumar Chaudhury, Educationist Ramkrishna Mahanti, Head Teacher Nihar Prasad Lenka, Block Welfare Officer Srinibas Mahanti, who all highlighted the importance of the Sargi Phul program and how it contributes to the holistic development of children. They remarked that “Sargi Phul” speaks of art and talent.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Head Teacher Nihar Prasad Lenka, with teachers Surya Narayan Mishra, Abhaya Kumar Mall, Arjun Dalai, Gouri Shankar Jena, Bhagirathi Paikaray, Nayana Satapathy, Sulochana Behera, Shila Bhatt, Banaja Mahanti, Deepika Jena, Rita Kumari, Barsha Vijayani, Amiya Priyadarshini Dharua, Shubhasmita Paital, and Chinmayee Padhi, among others, collaborating to ensure its success.
Nearly 500 students from the eight schools in the district, along with their teachers, participated actively in this program.
