Kandhamal Bringing pride to Kandhamal district, Chinmaya Tripathy from the village of Sarangagarh, under K. Nuagaon block, has achieved a remarkable feat. Chinmaya, the only son of well-known local businessman Radhakanu Tripathy, was always a favorite among students and teachers at Sarangagarh Government High School for his academic excellence.
Later, he pursued higher education in Brahmapur, completing his postgraduate studies in Electronic Science at a reputed university. Due to his outstanding academic performance, he received a merit scholarship that allowed him to pursue a Ph.D. at National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan.
There, under the supervision of Professor Tmi Seng Hung Jason, he conducted research in the field of RF Microwave Lab. From June 15 to 20, Chinmaya participated in an international scientific conference in San Francisco, USA, where he presented his research on heart rate and respiratory rate detection.
Among researchers from across the world, only 136 scholars were selected for participation in this prestigious event — and Chinmaya Tripathy was the only one from Odisha, making his district and state proud.
In recognition of his success, his fellow villagers, teachers, and the entire Tripathy family, including his grandfather Umakant Tripathy, have expressed their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for his continued progress.
