Sanskrit Week Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Nabarangpur Women’s College

Nabarangpur, 22nd Aug 2025: Under the direction of the Higher Education Department, Odisha, Sanskrit Week was celebrated at Nabarangpur Women’s College.

The college principal, Smt. Maleshwari Sahu, explained to the students the objectives and significance of observing Sanskrit Week. She encouraged the students to adopt Sanskrit in their daily lives and highlighted how the language can play a role in promoting culture and values in society.

The chief guest, Shri Ashok Kumar Tripathy, a classical teacher from Indira Priyadarshini College, elaborated on the use and application of Sanskrit in various fields through recitation of different shlokas.

During the event, students participated in various Sanskrit literary competitions, and winners were honored by the guests. The program was conducted by Shri Lakshmikant Soura from the Odia Department, who guided the students in spreading awareness about Sanskrit language and literature.

Many teachers and a large number of students from the college actively participated. At the conclusion, Smt. Sunita Patra, a history faculty member, extended the vote of thanks.
