Bhubaneswar , 15th July 2025 : For the first time in the state, a woman driver from a hilly region has been appointed at the government level. Sandhyarani Majhi has created history by being appointed as a government vehicle driver.
She has been officially appointed to drive the vehicle of Odisha’s Principal Secretary of the Transport Department, Smt. Usha Padhee. Sandhyarani Majhi is the first woman driver in Odisha to be assigned this role, marking a significant milestone in the state’s journey toward gender inclusion in public service roles.
