Tentulikhunti, Nabarangpur District – The pen-down protest by Samagra Shiksha employees in the Tentulikhunti block has reached its 21st day. Employees appointed at the office of the Group Education Officer in Tentulikhunti are participating in this movement. The protest continues with demands for salary disbursement as per the 30th EC and regularization of jobs.
On the 28th of last month, the employees submitted a memorandum to the District Collector of Nabarangpur, the District Education Officer, and the Block Education Officer, addressed to the Chief Minister and the Secretary of Samagra Shiksha. However, as their demands have not been met, they have continued the pen-down protest since the 29th.
Even after 21 days, the state government has not taken any steps toward fulfilling their legitimate demands. As a result, office operations have been severely disrupted, leading to a standstill in administrative functions.
The employees engaged in the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan have been serving for the past 13 years, but they are still not regularized and remain deprived of government benefits. This has led to growing dissatisfaction among them.
At the Tentulikhunti BEO office, a data and planning coordinator along with three accountants are actively participating in the pen-down protest. The employees have warned that they will continue their protest until their demands are met.
