Samaelshwari Express to Remain Non-Operational for 12 Days: Officials Confirm

Jeypore For security reasons, the Samaleswari Express will remain suspended for a total of 12 days in May and June. The Railways has canceled its operations for 6 days each on both up and down routes. On the Howrah–Jagdalpur route, the train will not run every Tuesday during these months, and on the Jagdalpur–Howrah route, it will not operate every Thursday. This information has been provided by the South Eastern Railway authorities.

Train Suspended on Both Routes

According to departmental sources, safety-related work is ongoing in the Chakradharpur Division of the South Eastern Railway, particularly in the Gamharia–Sinni section. These essential works are necessary to ensure safe and uninterrupted train operations. Keeping this in view, the 18005 Howrah–Jagdalpur Samaleswari Express will remain suspended on May 20, 27 and June 3, 10, 17, and 24 (all Tuesdays). On the return route, i.e., 18006 Jagdalpur–Howrah Samaleswari Express will not run on May 22, 29 and June 5, 12, 19, and 26 (all Thursdays).

Passengers scheduled to travel on these dates are requested to consider alternative travel arrangements.
