Russia Announces Breakthrough Cancer Vaccine Ready for Human Trials

Moscow, 12th Sept 2025:  Russia has developed a new cancer vaccine. This information was shared by Veronika Skvortsova, the head of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA). The vaccine is named “Interomix” and is based on mRNA technology — the same technology used in some COVID-19 vaccines. A weakened pathogen has been used in its formulation.

After receiving this mRNA-based cancer vaccine, the body produces specific proteins that help generate anti-cancer immune cells. According to Skvortsova, after years of research and three years of clinical trials, this vaccine has been proven safe and is now ready for clinical use.
