Kudumulugumma, Jan, 15: The Runamuda installation ceremony was held at the shikhara (spire) of the village deity, Goddess Thakurani Temple, located at Kudumulugumma. Under the priesthood of chief priests Abhishek Satapathy and Ramesh Chandra Rath, women of the village carried water pots on their heads in a ceremonial procession, collected water from a nearby river, and installed the sacred water in the temple

Thereafter, the entire atmosphere reverberated with Vedic chants, recitation of hymns, various rituals and worship, conch blowing, and traditional ululation performed by the priests. Among those who actively participated and extended their cooperation in the Runamuda installation ceremony were farmer Santosh Kumar Mahanti and the temple priests Sarangadhar Raut and Bir Patra.

At around 3:00 PM, donors offered various types of grains and cooking materials, which were placed inside the Runamuda installed at the shikhara of the newly constructed temple. Following this, the villagers joyfully offered worship to Maa Thakurani at the Anand Bazaar.

This sacred ceremony was successfully conducted with the dedicated voluntary service of several villagers, including Niharakantha Das, Ramesh Chandra Nelur, Bhagaban Sahu, Jati Ranjan Behera, Akshaya Kumar Hota, Santosh Swain, Shivaji Swain, Gopinath Das, Kahnu Charan Sahani, Nabidatta Sahani, Debendra Raut, Diba Sahu, Bijay Pattnaik, Prabhakar Jena, Ramakanta Dhakad, Y. Shree Murthy, Rajendra Patra, Anup Kumar Das, Subham Swain, and Chittaranjan Sahu, who carried out their respective responsibilities with devotion.
