Baipariguda, Feb, 7: The Tourism Department has sanctioned a grant of ₹23.93 crore for the beautification and infrastructure development of the famous Gupteswar Shaivite shrine in southern Odisha, located in Baipariguda block.
The sanctioned funds will be used for overall development of the shrine, including enhancement of its aesthetic appeal and improvement of basic infrastructure. The initiative aims to enrich the spiritual experience of devotees, attract more tourists, and strengthen the economic condition of the local community.
An amount of ₹23 crore 93 lakh has been approved for the comprehensive development of the Gupteswar shrine. Every year, thousands of devotees and tourists from within the district, across the state, and from outside Odisha visit the shrine for darshan. The new development project is expected to provide better facilities and convenience for them.
