Nabarangpur,Jan, 19: On the occasion of the observance of National Road Safety Month in the district, a Road Safety Awareness Rally was organised. The rally started in front of the Nabarangpur District Collector’s Office and proceeded up to the Mission Shakti Convention Hall.
The programme was organised by the Regional Transport Office (RTO). District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain and Superintendent of Police Nadip Sampad were present and flagged off the rally.
All participants took the road safety pledge administered by the government. On this occasion, the District Collector urged everyone to strictly follow traffic rules and also to make others aware of road safety.
Students of Raja Chaitanya Dev Nodal High School, officials from the RTO, DEO, Superintending Engineer, R&B Department, CDMO, Traffic Inspector, and various district-level officers participated in the rally. Office-bearers of the Nabarangpur Drivers’ Association were also present.
To spread awareness, various road safety slogans were raised during the rally, and informative leaflets were distributed to the public.
