Konark, 24th July 2025:A bike accident occurred near Bagalei Chhak, adjacent to the main road in Gop, Konark, leaving one person critically injured. According to reports, the victim was rescued by fire service personnel and admitted to a medical facility.
The individual was returning home from Chandrabhaga after fishing, riding a Hero Honda Glamour bike bearing registration number OD 02 BD 3972. Due to loss of balance, the rider fell off the bike and sustained serious injuries.
The incident took place near the accident spot, and the Champahari Fire Brigade personnel reached the location, rescued him, and admitted him to Gop Medical center. Given his critical condition, he was later shifted to a hospital in Bhubaneswar for better treatment.
The injured person has been identified as Ashok Nayak (60) of Badalapachhi Shikhand Gram, under Balipatna area.
Konark police reached the accident site, seized the bike, and are conducting further investigation.
