Revenue Officials in Baipariguda Protest by Wearing Black Badges

Baipariguda: The Odisha Revenue Officials’ Association has begun a black badge protest to voice their long-pending demands. The association has also issued a warning of a future work boycott agitation if their demands are not met.

On Monday, revenue officials gathered in front of the Baipariguda Tehsil Office, all wearing black badges as a form of protest. The demonstration is being held in support of their 10-point charter of demands.

The association alleges that due to the state government’s delaying tactics and unnecessary postponements, revenue officials are being deprived of their legitimate rights.

As part of the protest, officials will continue wearing black badges from July 7 to July 11.
If their demands remain unfulfilled, they have warned of launching a complete work boycott agitation starting July 14.
