Jeypore, 25th Sept 2025: A memorandum demanding the repair of Paduguda road in Lulla Panchayat of Dashmantapur block, Koraput district, was submitted to Chief Minister Mohan Majhi during a meeting. The delegation included Laxmipur MLA Pavitra Saunta along with other public representatives.
Although the village is only 3 kilometers away from the Panchayat office, it still lacks a proper paved road. Around 50 families in this village and nearly 30 families in Tabajaguda depend on this road. On dry days, travel is somewhat manageable, but during the rainy season, the difficulties of two entire village communities double. Leaving the village becomes very difficult.
Villagers have complained that seriously ill patients must be carried on beds for 3 kilometers due to the poor road condition. Despite repeated complaints from the villagers, no improvements have been made, leaving them frustrated. The administration has only given empty promises without any real action.
Laxmipur MLA Pavitra Saunta visited Paduguda by tractor along with his supporters to inspect the actual condition of the village. The MLA expressed sorrow over the situation and promised to ensure the road would be constructed very soon.
Accordingly, the MLA discussed the matter with the Chief Minister and submitted a formal memorandum demanding urgent road repair work. The Chief Minister has assured that the road work will begin very soon.
