Residents Demand Urgent Road Repairs from Mancha Village to Phupugaon

Tentulikunti: The Pradhan Mantri Road connecting Mancha village in Tentulikunti block to Phupugaon village in Nandahandi block has become almost unfit for use. About six years ago, a 4-kilometer stretch of this road was constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana by the Rural Development Department, extending from Mancha village to Phupugaon. However, due to a lack of maintenance, the road is now in a deplorable condition.

Every day, hundreds of people from both blocks travel along this route. Many villagers depend on the Indravati market for their daily necessities, making this road an essential part of their daily lives. The deteriorating road conditions have caused severe inconvenience to the locals. The metal chips from the road have come off, leaving it in a poor state, yet the administration has paid no attention to its maintenance, leading to growing public discontent.

Although the Rural Development Department is responsible for constructing roads under the Pradhan Mantri scheme, there is no proper upkeep, resulting in rapid deterioration. The villagers of Mancha have demanded immediate repairs to the road to ease their daily struggles.
