Jeypore : Renovation work has begun at the new bus stand of the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC). The work includes opening new drains, repairing structural defects in rooms, and upgrading the overall premises.
Near the DM’s Office, in Block I, concrete work and other additional improvements are underway. Paver blocks are being removed from the premises, and repairs are being carried out on damaged concrete structures. New drains are also being constructed.
The renovation and redevelopment of the new government bus stand has officially started. Paver blocks have been removed from the main entrance path near Vikram Dev University’s wall. An official stated that a new drain will be constructed and connected to the Veterinary Colony’s drainage system. All paver blocks previously laid in the area will be removed as they caused issues during bus movement. Due to the pressure from buses, the surface and bus bays were getting damaged. Keeping this in view, the area will now be concreted.
Additional rooms are being constructed in the open space near the DM’s office. As rainwater used to leak inside, rooms are also being repaired. Renovation work is in progress on the dormitory meant for passengers to provide them with better facilities.
