Bhubaneswar, 5th Nov 2025:  Good news for beneficiaries receiving ration card supplies. Those who have not completed e-KYC can now do so until December 31. Earlier, the deadline for e-KYC was October 31, but it has now been extended to December.

Under the National Food Security Act and the State Food Security Scheme, the Aadhaar-based e-KYC process is ongoing for all beneficiaries receiving ration items. Beneficiaries can complete their e-KYC at 11,827 fair price shops, 314 block offices, and 64 municipal offices that have ration card management centers.

Even if a beneficiary has not completed e-KYC yet, they will continue to receive PDS supplies for the month. No eligible beneficiary will be deprived of food supplies due to incomplete e-KYC.

Beneficiaries who have not yet completed e-KYC can visit the nearest fair price shop or ration card management center by December 31 to complete the Aadhaar-linked e-KYC process. About 15 lakh beneficiaries have not yet completed e-KYC.

The Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department has issued this notification to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries can complete their e-KYC in time.

Notably, as of October 29, 15,57,265 beneficiaries in the state had not completed e-KYC, with Ganjam district having the highest number, 1,58,022 beneficiaries pending e-KYC.
