Nandapur, 7th Nov 2025: Registrar (Sub-Registrar) responsibilities have been assigned to the seven tehsils of Koraput district — Nandapur, Baipariguda, Kundura, Narayanpatna, Bandhugaon, Laxmipur, and Dasmantpur.
As per the approval letter no. RDM–REG REGN 0048/2020–39631 R & Pt DM, issued by the Additional Secretary of the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Diganta Rautaray (IAS), and following the directives of the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), Odisha, Anwesha Reddy, instructions have been issued to open new registrar offices in 44 tehsils across 13 districts of the state.
The ADMs, CDMs, and Sub-Registrars of the respective districts have been instructed accordingly. As per office letter no. IX 18/2025–5194 REGN, they have been directed to make necessary arrangements for establishing the registrar offices — including buildings, electricity connections, and appointment of required staff.
It is worth noting that earlier, registration work for Nandapur tehsil was conducted at the Patangi Registrar Office. A new tehsil was established and became operational at Nandapur in 2013. However, the temple endowment (Debottar) responsibilities still remained under the jurisdiction of Patangi tehsil, and people had to travel there for land and property registration purposes.
