PapadaHandi Under the PapadaHandi Block, at the Semala Regional Resource Center, Coordinator Babulal Sagar facilitated a workshop for the preparation of educational and teaching materials. This workshop was organized at the Government Primary School, Butia Gudara.
The primary objective of this workshop was to prepare subject-specific teaching materials for each grade level so that students could learn effectively through the C.R.A. (Concrete, Representational, Abstract) method. The use of T.L.M. (Teaching Learning Materials) helps students see, understand, learn, speak, and memorize concepts easily. This approach ensures that the knowledge imparted during teaching remains in students’ minds and contributes to their cognitive development.
Teachers from various schools participated in the workshop, actively engaging in the creation of teaching materials. They emphasized that such materials make the learning process more effective, especially for young children, who grasp concepts better through interactive and play-based methods. The workshop also highlighted that students learn best in a joyful, friendly, and open environment, fostering creativity and collaboration.
During the workshop, various teaching materials were prepared, including number charts, number flashcards, number wheels, number umbrellas, number trees, picture-based number identification materials, counting aids like clay balls, colorful number-based visuals, counting sticks, illustrated number concept cards, language and number knowledge crowns, and language learning wheels. These materials aim to help students identify, understand, count, read, and write numbers more effectively.
This regional-level teaching material workshop served as a source of inspiration for all participating teachers, reinforcing the importance of creative and engaging teaching methods to enhance foundational literacy and numeracy skills in children.
