Nandapur In the Umbel S.T. Panchayat under Nandapur Police Station, a demand was made for the construction of a bridge over the Kolab reservoir to connect Tentulipada – Podagad. Accordingly, four RD department executive engineers, under the direction of Abhijit Li Barik, carried out an inspection on Wednesday. Engineer Baidyanath Nahak visited Tentulipada riverbank from Lamtaput and studied the condition of the ghat (riverbank) and took measurements of the Kolab reservoir.
According to information, representatives of 4 panchayats from Lamtaput block and 3 panchayats from Semiliguda block held a joint meeting and invited Koraput MLA Raghuram Machha. He said that if the bridge is constructed, it will shorten the route to the district headquarters by 15 km. The memorandum also mentioned that it would enhance family and business relations between the two blocks. After this, Engineer Nahak inspected the Tentulipada ghat.
Local leaders and residents of Umbel and Tentulipada areas including Ram Muduli, Ram Khul, Balaram Khul, Ghenu Kalabi, Dam Kalabi, Nava Ghatual, Madhu Khara, Duryodhan Khara, Trinath Khara, Madhav Pradhani and others were present.
