Bhubaneswar: Ratnakar Pattnayak and Dinesh Pant have been appointed as the new Managing Directors (MDs) of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). This information was released through a notification by the Financial Services Security Bureau.
Following interviews of eight candidates, the selection committee recommended the appointment of these two officials to the MD position. Currently, both Pattnayak and Pant serve as Executive Directors at LIC.
Ratnakar Pattnayak was born in 1968 in Jeypore, Odisha. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Berhampur University and is also a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India. Pattnayak started his career as an AAO (Assistant Administrative Officer) at LIC.
Over the years, he has served in various key roles, including as SDM (Senior Divisional Manager) in Jamshedpur and Indore until 2017. With 34 years of experience in the industry, he has handled numerous important responsibilities at LIC. Since 2021, he has been working at LIC’s Central Office, playing a crucial role in the company’s operations.
