Muniguda, Dec 19: Former senior Congress leader Ramesh Palaka from the Muniguda area of the Bisam Katak Assembly constituency has been appointed as the District President of the Scheduled Caste Community of the Congress Party in Rayagada district.
Ramesh Palaka has been associated with the Indian National Congress for many years and has been carrying out his responsibilities sincerely and efficiently. In recognition of his long service and dedication, the party leadership has reposed confidence in him and entrusted him with the responsibility of leading the district-level Scheduled Caste community wing.
The appointment was formally announced by Rajendra Pal Gautam, All India Congress Committee In-charge and State President of the Scheduled Caste Department, with the approval of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC).
Following his appointment, Ramesh Palaka expressed his gratitude to senior Congress leader Bhakta Charan Das, State Scheduled Caste Department President Rajendra Pal Gautam, Rayagada District Congress President Apolo Swamy Kadraka, and all party leaders and supporters for their trust and support.
He also thanked the people of the district and expressed his commitment to work dedicatedly for the welfare and empowerment of the Scheduled Caste community under the Congress banner.
