Koraput: A press conference was organized by the BJP at the Koraput Municipality Auditorium, during which Rajya Sabha Member Sujit Kumar highlighted the successes of the state government on the occasion of completing one year in office.
He emphasized various schemes initiated during the year, including the Subhadra Yojana, Madhusingh Pocket Allowance, and developments in the agriculture sector, all aimed at fulfilling the dream of a Developed Odisha, Developed India. He stated that development fairs (vikas melas) are being conducted to raise awareness about these welfare schemes among the public.
Koraput MLA Raghuram Machha, while speaking at the event, mentioned that work is ongoing for the construction of a new bus stand, bypass road, improvement in healthcare services, and educational development in the district.
He further highlighted the importance of identifying coffee farmers, strengthening the education system in border areas, and emphasized that the development of underdeveloped tribal regions is essential for the overall progress of the state.
He also raised concern about the lack of cold storage facilities in the district, which has led to losses for farmers, and said the state government is planning to revive existing cold storages and establish new ones in this tribal-dominated area of Koraput.
