Bhubaneswar,  Jan, 23:  With the launch of the Amrit Bharat 2 Express, Indian Railways has introduced several changes to its rules. According to a decision taken by the Railway Board, the fare structure and  booking rules of the new train are different from those of the earlier Amrit Bharat trains.

Under the new rules, the basic fare has been kept the same, but a minimum fare has now been fixed for short-distance travel.

From now on, passengers travelling in the Sleeper Class will have to pay a minimum fare of Rs 200. Earlier, the fare for travelling a short distance (as per per-kilometre calculation) used to be Rs 149.

Similarly, in the Second Class, the minimum ticket fare for up to 50 kilometres has been fixed at ₹36.
