Puri to Be Upgraded as Odisha’s Sixth Municipal Corporation, CM Majhi Announces

Puri: A decision has been made to upgrade Puri Municipality to a Municipal Corporation. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi during a press meet. The decision was taken keeping in view the increasing population and rising number of pilgrims visiting Puri. Around 10 nearby panchayats will be partially integrated into the expanded urban area. “It is our duty to provide basic amenities to the devotees coming to Puri,” said the Chief Minister.
